CARE INSTRUCTIONS

 

Ihuoma collections are constructed to a high quality using the finest materials, including 100% silk, delicate embroidered tulle, and 24k gold plated zamak hardware.  It deserves to be treated beautifully, so it’s important to care for your lingerie to preserve its shape, so you can really enjoy it for longer. Here are a few tips that will ensure your lingerie lasts as long as possible. 

 

HAND WASH ONLY

 Delicate lingerie is particularly vulnerable in the washing machine. Underwires can come unhitched from your bra and become misshapen, and delicate fabrics can tangle, crease and/ or shrink. We recommend you hand wash your Ihuoma pieces in cool water with similar colours using a mild silk detergent.

 

Please pay particular attention to rings and finger- nails as the fabrics and laces are delicate. Rinse in cool water and DO NOT wring before air drying flat - ideally with no direct sunlight to avoid colour fade. Do NOT machine wash or tumble dry as this may damage your lingerie and shorten its life span.

 

 

DRY CLEANING

 Our Silk Kimonos and Slip's require specialist dry cleaning.
