Thank you for embarking on the IHUOMA journey with us this year, and for your unwavering support and loyalty to our luxurious lingerie brand. Anticipation is building as we prepare to unveil the exquisite offerings we have in store for 2024.
As always, 2023 has been a year filled with vibrancy and excitement for IHUOMA. Reflecting on the past year, let's revisit some of the cherished moments that have defined our brand and elevated the world of luxury lingerie.
WORLD BURLESQUE DAY WEBINAR
At the start of 2023, I had the opportunity to participate in the World Burlesque Academy Celebrity Webinar alongside luminaries in the burlesque world like Immodesty Blaize and Sapphira. I shared insights into my entrepreneurial journey, focusing on the creation of IHUOMA and my experiences as a Black Brand in the lingerie industry. It was a rewarding and fabulous start to the year.
LAUNCHED YEMAYÁ & MAMI WATA COLLECTIONS
In May and June, we introduced two new collections: Yemayá and Mami Wata. These collections showcased a fresh embroidery design that pays homage to the revered goddesses Yemayá and MamaI Wata—water deities with profound roots in the ancient traditions and cultures of West Africa and South America.
The collections present a fusion of timeless yet contemporary shapes and colour palettes, accentuated by our embroidery - woven with iconography evocative of the deities origins; all crafted with the purpose of empowering those who wear them.
IHUOMA STOCKED IN DOLCI FOLLIE IBIZA & UNTAPPED CREATIVES
Our venture took a sun-soaked detour to the Balearic island of Ibiza. We teamed up with Dolci Follie, a boutique curating an exquisite array of lingerie & it opened doors to a fresh and enthusiastic audience. Ibiza's magnetic charm seamlessly aligned with the essence of our brand. This collaboration underscored IHUOMA's commitment to extending our designs to diverse markets, sharing our fervor for beauty and empowerment on a global scale.
We joined forces with Untapped Creatives—an online multi-brand platform 'founded to create a bridge between the premium consumer and retail, where Black brands are under-represented and difficult to find'. Our partnership enabled us to share our lingerie with a broader audience and strengthen our belief that there should be more commitment to supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs in the luxury industry.
Collaborating with incredible talents worldwide, our pieces came to life in exuberant ways. We are proud to feature extraordinary women, in IHUOMA, including Olivia Harriet captured by Sally Sparrow, and stunning self-portraits by renowned French photographer, Andrea Celine in our Yemayá collection. Boudoir photographer Britinee Price featured our Ma'at Bronze silk pieces in her Self Love Project, with more to reveal in 2024. A dream shoot with Paris-based Top Notch Agency and model Tchako and the skilled USA based creatives Aiysha Aasiya-Bey & Kirby Griffin beautifully showcased our Mawu Copper pieces in stunning landscapes. We are grateful for these collaborations shaping our journey.

This year has unfolded with its unique blend of beauty and challenges, and we're deeply grateful to have navigated it, a journey made possible by the incredible support of you, our cherished customers and friends. As we step into 2024, considering the current state of the world, our heartfelt hope is for a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. May the coming year witness a positive transformation, fostering a world that embodies its better self.
